Texas Highways Magazine – March 2019 issue – makes it official! U.S. Hwy 59 is the “Boogie Woogie Highway”, a term coined by Historian John Tennison to show how the music moved through Texas towns and cities from the Piney Woods logging camps to the advent of rock ‘n roll.
